Year/Birthday Calendar

From the moment I finished the Four Seasons series, I knew I wanted to bring those artworks together somehow. A year calendar felt like the perfect home for them. But soon the idea grew wings… and I decided to create eight additional illustrations so the calendar would hold twelve unique artworks—one for each month.

Four of these new illustrations show plants and natural treasures found throughout the seasons, perfect for natural pigment making. 🍄🌼🍂❄️

The other four honour the pagan holidays and turning points of the Wheel of the Year: the Summer and Winter Solstice, and the Spring and Autumn Equinox. ☀️🌑

I wanted the calendar to be more than a place to write down birthdays or special dates; I hoped it would gently invite you to live a little closer to the rhythm of the seasons again. 🌱

For the cover, I created my own interpretation of the pagan Wheel of the Year—the ancient circular calendar marking all nature-based holidays. I’ve always found it fascinating how many of these old celebrations have been lost or reshaped into Christian traditions, like how Yule became Christmas or Ostara became Easter. 🔄 This print is meant as a soft reminder of how our ancestors lived: in tune with nature’s cycles. 🌾✨
