The Wheel of the Year ☀️🌛 One of my main inspirations in both work and life is the question: How can we live more in alignment with the seasons and the natural world?

Becoming aware of the circular calendar, following the rhythms of the seasons and moon cycles, is one powerful way to do this. Learning about the pagan holidays, which highlight the unique energy of each season, has deepened that connection for me even further. In this Wheel of the Year, I had the opportunity to visualize and honor those seasonal celebrations.

Creating this piece has felt incredibly meaningful and right. Learning about these natural phases and celebrating them has not only helped me reconnect with Nature , but also with my ancestors, whose knowledge and traditions these festivals are rooted in. Many of today’s holidays are transformations of these older ones: Yule became Christmas, Ostara became Easter and Samhain became Halloween. 🎄🐇🎃

In this way, we can remember that the original religion is, and has always been, Nature.

I hope this print brings the same sense of alignment and wonder to others as the research and creative process has brought to me. (And yes, the drawing is made with natural pigments! You can see in slide 2 which ones are used 🌿 )
