Description
Autumn β the last piece of my Four Season series! π
This piece is inspired by the story of Baba Yaga, the wise, old, often scary woman from Slavic folklore. It is painted with natural autumn pigments made from chestnuts, walnuts, birch, and eucalyptus leaves.
Baba Yaga lives deep in the forest in a house on chicken legs, with a door made of bones. She can be scary and wild, testing those who cross her path β but really, she represents transformation. She βcooksβ people not to harm them, but to burn away the old so something new can be born. Those who face her come out wiser, reborn β just like the cycle of autumn, when life decays to make space for springβs return. π
